In an effort to lose some weight I thought I’d join an online site that helped me track my caloric intake, exercise and weight loss goals. I checked out quite a few. A lot of the sites charge a monthly fee which I was a hesitant to pay. I wanted to be able to try one for free then decide if it was worth spending the money.
Then, I stumbled upon Livestrong.com. The website has tons of tips, tricks, recipes and tools to help you live healthy. I now use the MyPlate tool to track everything. It’s super easy to set-up and completely free! It calculates how many calories you should eat a day based on your weight and eating goals.
After you set-it up, all you have to do is enter in what you eat and the site does the rest. It tracks your calories, fat, protein and carbs and if you exercise, you can calculate the burned calories into your daily goal. The MyPlate tool is simply amazing and did I mention FREE! The site has almost any food you could possibly want, but if it’s not in their database you can add it!
