If you’re a pro-football fan then your weekend was probably spent like mine, curled up on the couch with your eyes glued to ESPN and the draft. This weekend was full of excitement and surprise. The 2010 NFL Draft began Thursday night at 7:30 pm, the first draft ever to be featured on prime time television. The final picks were wrapped-up on Saturday.
The draft went quickly this year because the NFL cut down the time allowed for teams to pick. And as with most years, there were tons of trades and swaps for players and picks. It kept me on my toes. The most shocking pick was the 25th by the Denver Broncos for QB Tim Tebow. Many people were surprised that he was drafted before Notre Dame’s Jimmy Clausen or Texas’ Colt McCoy.
As a Gator graduate, I was beaming to see that he leapfrogged the expected front men. What was your favorite draft highlight?
Here are the top ten picks from the 2010 NFL Draft.
