Prioritize Your Success As a Student Using a HUGE Calendar

College life can be very entertaining but that entertainment can sometimes distract us from our main objective.  It is important to not only know what our priorities are but to keep then near to us so that we will remember.

What are some things that you do to stay focused during school?  I would like to offer you a few simple yet effective tips that can help you to stay focused and increase your GPA with ease.

The first thing is to buy a large calender.  Don’t worry about the small to-do list, you can get a notepad for that.  But on the large calender write down your major goals and objectives for everyday a week at a time.  Place the calender somewhere noticeable and in your face so that you can’t help but to see it everyday. This will keep your goals fresh in your mind.

When you get the class syllabi read it carefully.  Treat this as an assignment that is do before the end of the first week.  Mark down any exams or important assignment dates and put them on your calender.

Some classes may require more time or reading than others, take that into consideration as you plan your study-time.  Look over the schedule for the semester even marking any three-day weekends and add them to the calender.  Your calender will become your friend and by keeping it close and updated you will do more of the activities that are on it.  Remember this, no one ever sets an intention or makes a goal that they don’t expect to accomplish.

LaJule Designs introduces the the Fire and Ice 2010 Winter Fashion Show & Networking Expo.  With such diversity and talent among our student residents in our apartment community, we saw this event as a great way for you to gain more exposure and make some lasting connections with new business people.

Do more students prefer off campus housing or on campus housing better?

There is already so much on your plate as a college student. What courses to take? What major to stick with? On top of those issues you should be able to come home to a nice and neat apartment to relax and devote yourself to your studies. Apartment living provides a more appropriate atmosphere for studying in my opinion, but that’s debatable. I’ve lived on campus and off campus and prefer the alternative off campus housing much better.

There are many Apartment Communities that offer great living quarters for students in Charleston, SC. Of course we are bias towards Abberly at West Ashley Apartments and all of HH Hunt Apartment Homes but you should judge for yourself.

Do You Have a Student Loan Payback Plan?

You need an official student loan payback plan.  How do you plan to do it?  When you speak to your counselors and professors at during college ask them about different ideas that they have to help you pay back on your student loans.

So then you might ask why is it that student loan payback programs seem to be invisible or nonexistent?  Honestly I don’t know.  If I really thought about it I might begin to think maybe the money holders want college students to live in debt when they graduate.  Is it a conspiracy?  Well it’s debatable.

The important thing to know is that, just like education know one can stop you from becoming a learned person.  It might take more effort, more questions and more discipline but it is more than worth the work to get an education and payback your student loans.

It is a normal college thought to to wonder if this process is worth it.  Unfortunately there is no general answer, it would depend on the individual.  It’s just like that quote from Henry Ford:

You’ll will need to personalize the reason that you are going through the collegiate process in the first place.  Abberly at West Ashley is a new apartment complex in Charleston, South Carolina and our student tenants have been increasing more each month.  Many of our student residents seem to be focused and striving to reach a personal goal with college not just graduate.  I really learn a lot from our community each day.

USA Today says that the financial investment that college students make when attending a four year public university begins to pay off by the age of 33.  When you look at the education that you walk away with you really can’t compare it to a price.  Is the process of college worth the ride?  Absolutely!
